Change Tracking

Change Tracking

I (John Levon) have implemented a "change tracking" feature, sponsored by Credativ GmbH. This is similar to Microsoft Word's revision tracking. When you enable change tracking, deleting text marks it red and in strikeout. Added text is marked in blue, and both changes add a margin changebar. This is visible within LyX itself, and in the DVI/PostScript output. A dialog has been added to allow users to accept or reject each change marked in this way in the document. Additionally, information is stored on the time and author of each change.

The work is essentially complete, and has been included in 1.4.0. You can find patches against earlier releases (1.2 and 1.3) below.

The output uses Erich Fruestueck's new "dvipost" package, which you can download from here. Note that the annotation is not supported when using pdflatex as it works by post-processing the generated DVI file.

Patch against LyX 1.2cvs here.

Patch against LyX 1.3cvs here.
